At DeClue Law, we understand that legal matters often arise during life’s most personal and challenging times. Whether you’re planning for long-term care, settling a loved one’s estate, or protecting a family member with special needs, we provide clear, compassionate legal guidance every step of the way.
Founded by attorney Douglas M. DeClue—licensed in both Indiana and Illinois—our practice is built on a commitment to personal attention, honest communication, and practical solutions. When you work with us, you’ll work directly with an experienced attorney who takes the time to listen, explain your options, and develop a plan tailored to your goals.
Douglas began his legal career in Chicago after earning his law degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in 2006. In 2013, he returned to Indianapolis to open DeClue Law, focusing on Elder Law, Estate Planning, Medicaid Planning, Special Needs Planning, Probate, Guardianship, and Real Estate and Title Law.
In 2021, attorney Clifton A. Dennis joined the firm as Of Counsel, bringing decades of elder law experience and having served as President of the Indiana Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA). His insight strengthens our work in Medicaid planning and asset protection, and helps ensure we stay at the forefront of changes in the law.
Our attorneys are active members of NAELA and the Indiana State Bar Association, including the Elder Law Section and the Probate, Trust, and Real Property Section. Douglas has also served as a featured speaker for AARP Indiana’s Caregiver Weeklies series, sharing practical legal guidance to support caregivers across the state.
